The Misfits Market People Operations Coordinator will support the local Fulfillment Center People Operations Team and our hourly associates by assisting with engagement events, performing frontline support, and performing basic HR-related administrative tasks. This position will support our team from 6am to 2:30pm. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support that aligns with People Operations strategy to all departments in the FC
  • Maintains operating knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Support and assist in rolling out approved People Operations projects and programs
  • Create and maintain databases/documents as needed by department
  • Assist with new hire orientation in partnership with the Learning and Development team as needed
  • Manage company-employee communication as needed (updates / alerts sent out via email/communication boards)
  • Assist with Open Enrollment (answers employee questions regarding benefits options, assists with facilitation as needed, ensures all documents needed for benefits enrollment are submitted)
  • Organize and manage team member engagement activities (birthday celebrations, service awards, quarterly recognition, etc.)
  • Process I-9s, Employment and Wage Verification Forms and other HR-related verifications as requested
  • Maintain accurate HR records
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

  • College Degree in HR or related topic, preferred
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with MS Office, G-suite, Kronos
  • Minimum 1 year experience supporting multiple managers or business units
  • Bi-lingual (English / Spanish)
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good phone etiquette
  • Willing to work overtime and possible weekends as needed
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environment; Experience in fast paced environment
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication
