The top thing I valued was the opportunity to help people achieve their goals and dreams. I also really valued the opportunity to have an internship that I was in control of. I never had to worry about missing that vacation with the family or getting to hang out with my fiancée (now wife) and friends. I also had control of the work ethic that I put in that lead to a very successful internship.
My career grew during my internship
I would say my managing director was my biggest mentor. He basically taught me the whole business and showed me the value of the company and how they help people day in and day out. However, every advisor I did meetings with was a great mentor and teacher, not just to me, but also to the clients we were meeting with.hmo

I would say my value proposition is to help my clients achieve what is most important to them. The thing I value most about NM is the community amongst the company. I have never seen a company where someone 20+ years in the business with a ton of things to do is so willing to help someone one-on-one to make them a better advisor so that they can serve their clients better. I think the ability to learn from so many people is something I truly value at this company.
