What to Expect

  • Disclaimer: This position is expected to start around August or September 2022 and continue through the entire Fall term (i.e. through December/January) or into early Spring 2023 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, for most internships. Please consider before submitting an application. International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time depending on their academic standing. Internship Program at Tesla The Internship Recruiting Team is driven by the passion to recognize emerging talent. Instead of going on coffee runs and making copies, you’ll be seated at the table making critical decisions that will influence not only your team, but the overall achievement of Tesla’s mission. Locations Fremont, CA The Internal Content team is responsible for all content needs throughout the company. We create original content as well as support the creation and deployment of content for executives and cross-functional stakeholders. What to Expect The Content Design Intern is a key member of the internal content team based in Fremont. In collaboration with the team, this person will be responsible for designing, project managing, deploying and maintaining high-quality visual content across our internal content channels, ensuring that employees receive a positive experience. This role will also assist with external design projects including social media, virtual events, and in-person events.

What You’ll Do

  • Drafting/sketching and designing content for a variety of sources and channels, mostly internal. Implementing internal content plans and editorial calendar to support engagement. Reviewing content to ensure internal messages and tone are consistent across all mediums and align with company editorial voice. Supporting existing programs and assisting in the development and implementation of new, innovative initiatives to engage and connect employees. Identify and drive process improvements for the operations of programs and events. Interfacing and interacting with employees and leaders at all levels of the company.

What You’ll Bring

  • Requirements Currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning/college/university Understanding of graphic design, visual design language, design systems, branding, and project management Be able to work with cross-functional requestors and executives Must have experience in the Adobe creative suite of software and some knowledge of contemporary design software (Figma, Adobe Suite, etc) Beneficial to have experience in photography, retouching, motion graphics, and illustration.
